  • Is Namibia a stable country to invest?

    The Namibian government believes that our economy will show substantial growth in the years to come. They predict growth of 14% for 2024, followed by 11.8% in 2025, 10% for 2026 and 8% for 2027. Comparing the projections to South Africa expecting a less than 1% economic growth per annum over the same period.

  • How easy is it to invest in Namibia?

    Namibia is a commenwealth country to South Africa. There are no reserve bank clearance required and easy to transfer funds to Namibia to invest.

  • Structure of Policy

    This investment policy is underwritten by Trustco Life Ltd in accordance with the Act. Trustco Life Limited is a long-term insurance company, registered in terms of the Long-term Insurance Act No 5 of 1998. A life Insurer provide clients with an additional layer of protection compared to banks.

  • What Investment guarantee options available?

    You have a choice between the Fixed guarenteed Growth plan providing you with a daily compounded rate allocated monthly or a Fixed income Investment provinding you with an fixed income for the specified period. 

  • Can I change my interest choice within the term?

    The selected interest payment option may be changed by the Policy Holder at any time during the term of the investment at the discretion of the investor by providing 30 calendar days’ written notice to the Insurer.

  • Options when policy mature

    The Policy will mature after the expiration of the term agreed upon in the application for investment;


    On maturity of the Policy, the Policy Holder shall have the following options:

    1. Withdraw the Investment Amount and terminate the policy or
    2. Continue with the Policy for a further agreed period as may be agreed by the Insurer.
  • Can I add a beneficiary on the policy

    Yes, in the event of the death of the Policy Holder, the full value of the Investment Amount shall be paid to the Investment Beneficiary on the maturity date. If no beneficiary is reflected on the system of the Insurer, the Investment Amount shall be paid to the Estate of the Policy Holder on the maturity date.

  • Can I cede my policy to someone else

    For any cession to be effective and valid the following must to be complied with:

    • A Trustco Life Cession Form needs to be completed, signed and submitted to the Insurer by the policy holder or the successors in title;
    • The person, including a legal person, to whom the policy is ceded must provide the Insurer with all required KYC documents in order for the cession to be effective;
    • The person, including a legal person, to whom the proceeds and benefits are ceded is bound by the terms and conditions of the Policy Contract.
  • Can I withdraw within my investment period

    No early withdrawal of the capital amount is permitted.

  • Fees on the plan

    Administration and management fees in the amount of 0.35% p.a. will be payable for the duration of the Policy as specified in the Schedule of Investment. The fee is already deducted from the quote provided.

  • Who is my intermediary in Namibia?

    Covest Wealth is your intermediary in Namibia. Covest Wealth is an Juristic represenative of Our Family Office and subsidiary company of Trustco Holdings. Covest Wealth is an authorised financial service provider with NAMFISA.

    The money fund provide the average of the top 4 money market funds every day. This ensure you obtain the best average rate available. All rates are compounded daily and added to your investment monthly.

    Yes, with Investec we can assist with property guarentees. 

  • What currencies do we offer for flexible saving accounts?

    We offer foreign currency accounts in all majour currencies for businesses and individuals. 

  • Why does a business need a cash manager account?

    Businesses use cash manager accounts for their VAT account, emergency fund account or collection of fees to ensure interest earned from collection phase. 

  • Trust account benefits

    For trust accounts in South Africa the  Corporate cash manager provide the perfect blend for functionality. While earning a great interest rate you have the ability to run all debit orders from account, add multiple beneficiaries on account and implement schedule payments. 

  • Do I qualify for Investec Cash Manager?

    Yes, any person can obtain an Investce Cash Manager account. Criteria only applicable should you require for a bank current and/or credit card account.

  • How will I know how much home I qualify for?

    Get your pre-qualified certificate prior to searching for your investment property. The certificate is valid for 90-days and ensure you understand  what value property you need to search for in the property market.

  • How is my affordability calculated?

    Looking at your income and debt levels. The debt level should not be more than 30% of your gross monthly income. 

  • What additional cost apply when purchasing a property?
